A Gift of Hope from GottaFixIt Roofing
Each Christmas season, GottoFixIt Roofing gives back by blessing one local family with a brand-new roof, completely free of charge. The Christmas Roof Project is more than a giveaway — it’s an act of faith and gratitude, a way to lift up neighbors in need and remind our community that we’re stronger together. Rooted in Christian values and a heart for service, this outreach shines a light of hope across North Carolina and Southside Virginia. Every nail and shingle represents care, compassion, and community — restoring not just roofs, but peace of mind. This effort also lays the foundation for a larger vision: forming a future charitable initiative dedicated to helping families find safety and stability through practical acts of kindness. You can help us make that happen!
We invite you to help by nominating a deserving family, help make this Christmas brighter for someone who needs it.
Eligibility
Homeowners must reside in one of the following counties:
Virginia: Mecklenburg, Lunenburg, Halifax, and Brunswick
North Carolina: Granville, Vance, and Warren
• Homes must be owner-occupied and may include mobile or modular homes.
• This offer is for residential homeowners only (renters, nonprofits or businesses are not eligible).
• The homeowner must agree to be nominated and provide consent to participate in the program.
• You may nominate yourself or someone else.
• To qualify, the nominee (or nominator) must like and follow GottaFixIt Roofing on Facebook and share the official giveaway post using the hashtag #ChristmasRoofProject. Tag @GottaFixItRoofing in your post to help verification.
What’s Included
• Roof tear-off (as needed)
• Architectural asphalt shingles (contractor’s choice, comparable to neighborhood standards)
• Underlayment, standard flashing, and ventilation
Not included: Structural repairs, decking replacement, gutters, interior work, or issues unrelated to the roof.
This offer is contingent upon a roof inspection to ensure the home is structurally sound and suitable for safe installation. If the inspection identifies conditions that prevent installation, an alternate recipient may be selected.
How It Works
1. Submit a Nomination — Complete the online form by November 30 to tell us about a homeowner in need.
2. Review & Selection — The GottaFixIt Roofing team and an independent review panel will evaluate nominations.
3. Winner Announcement — The selected homeowner will be notified in early December, weather permitting.
